Global Youth Video Competition on Climate Change 2016 : COP 22, Morocco

United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is inviting youths all over the world to participant Global Youth Video Competition on Climate Change. If you have any idea on Sustainable Development idea on climate change, you can shape it on your videographer tools and win your prize joining UN climate Change Conference (COP 22) Marrakech, Morocco in November. The deadline of entry is 30 August 2016.

So, Let’s Start!! Light Camera Action!!

 

Eligibility:  anyone aged between 18 to 30 can enroll. You have to make video of 3 minutes visualizing your idea.

The prizes:

Each winner will receive-

  1. Round trip to COP 22 Merrakech, Morocco from 7 November to 18 November 2016.
  2. Position as youth reporter for COP 22 and responsible for assisting UNFCCC Newsroom team with videos, articles and social media posts.

 

Judging Process:

  • Clearness and effectiveness of the video
  • Innovation, originality and impact
  • Technical expertise like quality sound, imaging etc

Key Points:

  • Climate action
    Stories showcasing the implementation of climate-friendly development activities, including clean energy, energy efficiency and adaptation projects;
    • Stories showcasing your contribution to implementation of specific climate policies on a local or national level.
  • Public awareness
    Stories showcasing how you are carrying out awareness-raising activities to convince parents, teachers, schools, employers or local/national governments to take climate action;
    • Stories showcasing formal/non-formal mechanisms/spaces that enable dialogue between young people and companies or government representatives on climate action;
    • Stories showcasing ways that you have contributed to the development of climate-friendly policies or regulations;
    • Stories showcasing how you have organized a successful divestment campaign.
